File 02 · About us

Integrity is our working material

We are a specialised advisory and investigation firm for the prevention and resolution of economic crime.

NoFI is built on forensic accounting expertise at master's level. We combine business understanding, investigative method and modern open-source intelligence into an approach that does more than uncover facts: it proves them.

Our clients are companies, law firms, insolvency administrators, insurers and public authorities who need clarity before a decision or facts after a suspicion. Every engagement is handled personally, treated confidentially and documented so the findings can be used internally, with authorities and in court.

Our distinctive strength is German-Turkish matters: corporate networks, assets and individuals active in both countries, researched in the original language and in the relevant registers.

File 09 · Frequently asked questions

What clients want to know beforehand

What does an investigation cost?

It depends on the scope. A standard check on a business partner takes far less effort than a cross-border asset search. After the first consultation you receive a written proposal, either as a fixed fee or with an hourly rate and a budget cap. The first consultation is free of obligation.

Is what you do legal?

Yes. We use only lawfully accessible sources and comply with the GDPR, the German Federal Data Protection Act and employee data protection rules. Before every engagement we check that a legitimate interest exists. We decline engagements we cannot defend legally.

Can the findings be used in court?

Our reports are structured so that every statement is supported by a source and the time it was collected. This makes them suitable as a basis for law firms, authorities and courts. The legal assessment of the individual case rests with your lawyers.

How long does an investigation take?

A partner check is usually ready within a few working days. Complex fraud or asset investigations take longer. We give you a realistic timeline before you instruct us.

Do you need to be on site for research in Türkiye?

Much can be obtained from Turkish registers, publications and media from Germany. If on-site research is required, we discuss it with you in advance.

Do you also work for public authorities?

Yes. We support investigative, tax and customs authorities as well as public sector buyers, mainly with open-source research and the analysis of Turkish-language material. Cooperation follows the requirements of the authority concerned and of public procurement law. We do not, of course, hold any sovereign powers.

Will the person being checked find out?

Our research is discreet. Whether and when data subjects must be informed under data protection law is something we clarify with you and your lawyers case by case.
